Hyperlink to Word bookmark

R

Russ Crowley

Hi,

is it possible to hyperlink from a Visio shape to a
bookmark within a Word document (.doc)?

The dialog in Vison 2000 allows you to link to the
document but it doesn't allow you to link to a location in
the document.

I appreciate I can convert the doc to html and them
hyperlink to a Named Anchor but this is not - at present -
what we wish to do.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

yes you can hyperlink to a bookmark. select insert hyperlink, browse to
local file (insert doc file name), and then in the subaddress field put the
name of the bookmark.
(just tested on visio 2002).

If you're using Visio 2002, try this:

Having a similar problem. The link to the bookmark works from within the
Vision document, but when I save the document as a web page and click the
link it opens the Word document but doesn't go to the bookmark. Any
thoughts?
