Hi

Could you please let me know if there's any way in which I can provide a hyperlink in a Word document to a bookmark in another Word document, so that when the hyperlink is clicked, the other document opens with the bookmarked page displayed?

Thanks

Pramila

Hi Pramila:

No, not in Mac Word 2004.

In Mac Word, the hyperlink command expects an .html document as a
destination, and wants to open it in the default browser.

So: Unless you convert both documents to HTML, it's not going to work.

Sorry, it's a bug...

Cheers

Hi Pramila;

I seem to have a differing experience than John, but the standard method
works right for me here in 2004/Tiger:

Once bookmarks have been created in the target document select the text in
the other document, right-click it & select Hyperlink,

Hit the Documents button then click Select: to choose the target document,

Next click the Locate button adjacent to the Anchor field which will produce
a list of Bookmarks in the target document [click the triangle next to
Bookmarks to reveal the list of Bookmark names],

Select the appropriate Bookmark, then OK out of both dialogs.
