Hyperlink verify stalls

When using the "reports/problem/hyperlinks" function to verify the hyperlinks
the process stalls at some external links (that are valid and it's not just
one)? I must exit FP and come back to close the site. I didn't have this
problem the last time I used this function many months ago. I am sure some
updates have been installed since. I am using FP2003 (11.8164.8221) SP3. Any
suggestions?
