HyperLink Warning Message

I have placed a hyperlink in a powerpoint slide to connect to a slide in a
second powerpoint presentation.
When running the show and I click the hyperlink, I get a warning message
that cautions me to make sure the link is from a trusted source. Then there
is a yes/no continue question. These are my presentations - how can I get
rid of the warning message?

I had the same problem and I got information on how to fix it (I am using
Powerpoint 2007), but I have to give this presentation in class; how can I
make sure I don't get the same error message when I do my presentation in
class. I plan on opening the presentation from a e-mail that I can open when
I am in class. I do my presentation tomorrow (10/2) so any help that you can
give me ASAP would be greatly appreciated.

There's a registry hack you can do. That's kind of complicated, so Chirag
Dalal has created a utility that will do it for you. It won't help, though,
if you're distributing the presentation because the Enable/Disable Hyperlink
Warning utility must be run on the presenting machine. Get it here:

In PPT 2007, you need to save the files in Trusted Locations. That is
supposed to prevent the hyperlink warnings. Then again, it kind of depends
on what you're linking to.

I don't know how that you can prevent the warning messages if you're opening
the presentation directly from an email.

You're still going to get the hyperlink warning messages.

It's not really an error message -- more of a warning. Unfortunately,
there's no way around it (that I'm aware) other than trusted locations.
Fortunately, it happens to everyone, not just you. :)
