Hyperlink Word 2003

Insert Hyperlink is greyed out. When I click on it I get an error message "
This feature is disabled because it is not compatable with Microsoft Word
6.0/95" how do I re-enable this feature?

Have you tried doing what the error message implies, that is, saving in a
more recent format than Word 6.0/95?

This happens in a new Word document, before it is saved as anything.

That is strange. I haven't seen anything similar myself...

If you do save first, does that make a difference?

Do you have RTF or Word 6.0/95 set as your default file format?
