Hyperlink - Word as HTML

?

,

How do I open the linked document in
1. It's own window
2. Using the application and not the application within IE?

I do not have authorization to change network settings, so the solution
must lie within the link on the document being accessed by the users.

Let's say my example link is:

speadsheet 1.xls

what do I type to do needed items 1 or 2?

thank you.

Hi,

If "the hyperlinked document" is something other than a Word document
then it will always open in a window belonging to the application that
it was created in.

Adobe Acrobat Reader can be configured to open within an Internet
Explorer browser window, a feature I detest. You can change the setting
in Acrobate Reader's preferences so that it opens Reader in its own
application window. If you've come across other applications that have
adopted the open within the browser "feature" you'll need to adjust
their preferences as well.

You need to use a Macro Button to do this. Look them up in the Help.
