Hyperlink words to definition in Glossary

I'm creating a study guide for a process at work. I would like to have an
appendix or glossary of terms that within the guide are hyperlinked to the
definition so that the user can just click the word to see the defintion as
opposed to going to the end of the document to look it up. Is there a way to
do this?

If it is within the guide and you hyperlink to it, you will then be
there, at the end. You could put the glossary in a separate document
with bookmarks and hyperlink to them and have them both open at the same
time, and switch back and forth.

To be more specific, I want the term to be "clickable" and the definition
appear in a pop up box from a linked glossary.
