Hyperlink

How can I get my hyperlinks to show up as blue with it being underlined and
not with the word "HYPERLINK" and brackets? When I type something, it comes
out like this example: {HYPERLINK"http://www.msn.com"}. I'm not merging
any fields into my document. My laptop works find when I type: "www.msn.com".

Thanks for the help.

Press Alt+F9 to toggle from field codes (what you're seeing) to field
results.

Suzanne, that worked. What about typing a web address and it automatically
becomes a hyperlink? Right now if I type a web address I have to go through
the steps of creating a hyperlink.

Thanks for your speedy reply.

Make sure that you have "Internet and network paths with hyperlinks" checked
on the AutoFormat As You Type tab of Tools | AutoCorrect Options.
