Hoping someone can help me with a similar problem.
When I try to create the hyperlink to my bookmark, it tells me "Internal
Hyperlinks Disabled in this Mode".
What mode am I in and how to I change it so I can create internal hyperlinks
for my bookmarks?
I've searched the community questions, and no luck...

I'm sure I am in design view. I double click the navigation bar (I added this
bar by clicking Insert-->Navigation-->Bar with Custom Links). Anyway, when I
double click Nav Bar and Link Properties opens, I click --> add link -->
Click Place in this Document. Then it tells me "Internal Hyperlinks are
disabled in this mode."
Am I doing something wrong?

Don't use Custom Links
(only supports external links)
To add an internal page to your Nav bar use View Navigation and drag your page from the Folder List to the nav view
