hyperlinked doc is read only

I have a Visio drawing on a webdav site. The drawing has hyperlinks to docs
that are in the same folder as the drawing. When I click on a link, the
drawing opens as it should, but it is read-only (the file is not read only on
the web dav site.) If I access the file directly through web dav, I can edit
and save. It only is read only through the Visio link. Any ideas would be
appreicated.

I have an even more fundamental question: how do I hyperlink a word doc to a
shape. I am really new to Visio but I am an experienced Office user, but I
cannot hyperlink a doc to a shape. I am using Visio in lieu of Mindjet to
brainstorm and I want to link a large amount of text off page to a shape on
page. Any thoughts?
