Hyperlinked PDF file won't open... new issue

I've read the older posts about this problem. Have been hoping that Adobe
might have fixed the issue by now, but I can't tell because I end up with a
different error message. When I click on the Action Buttons I've linked to
PDFs, I get the message "No program is registered to open this file."

I have a registered copy of Adobe Reader 7.0 (ugh) that is associated with
filetype .pdf.

Any ideas why this is happening?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks, Steve. I have no problem opening the PDFs from within Windows
Explorer. There are no spaces in the filenames.

I do have Adobe Reader 7.02 (Adobe confirms on its site that 7.01 and 7.02
fixed the problem of not being able to open local PDF files from Office
apps). Just to be safe after reading your suggestion, I uninstalled and
reinstalled both updates from 7.0. Unfortunately, I still get the same error
message in PowerPoint: "No program is registered to open this file."

I can't figure out why PowerPoint isn't associating the PDF with Acrobat
Reader. Everything else does. I am guessing that if it did, it would open
it fine.

Do you have any other suggestions about what to try next? I really
appreciate your advice.

Thanks again,

Maggie
