I'm creating a very basic intranet site and am creating hyperlinks to
commonly used forms/documents on our server.
A number of the forms we use are saved as word document templates (*.dot).
When opening them via a hyperlink in publisher, instead of them opening as
new document based on the template, it is opening the actual template.
Is there a way around this?
I really don't want to have to create new copies of the documents as this
defeats the purpose of having a basic intranet site that points to the
commonly used files. I don't want the template file opening, because this
causes too many issues with people saving over the template file accidently.
