Hyperlinking

I have a word (2003) that will include a number of excel (2003) spreadsheets.
The most common solutions each have sufficient drawbacks to seek another
solution. I write to inquire how one can create a hyperlink in the word
document to an excel file without the excel file appearing as an attachment?
I understand that XML might offer a solution but I am not familiar with it.

Not sure what exactly you want.
1. You can copy/paste as link any number of Excel table into wor
(number limited by RAM though). This implies that any change made t
the Excel table will be reflected in the Word document. Keep in min
that for this solution the Excel file needs to be kept in the sam
folder (otherwise you need to redefine the link, or save the file to
new folder with the word file open).
2. With CTRL+K you can create a link to an existing file. You ca
control both the name of the link (e.g., "MyXLS") and the address t
jump to. It can be weblink as well.
