I am trying to work in one of the provided templates in Excel 2008,
specifically the shopping list. I am trying to make the price of each item I
input link you to the online vendor page, but whenever I create the
hyperlink, the entire row becomes a hyperlink, instead of just the one cell.
I can't seem to find a way to select only the one cell...
Ledger sheets are designed to operate differently from regular
worksheets in many ways in order to make them easy to use, one of which
is that selections always include entire rows.
As I understand it, this is primarily to prevent inadvertently screwing
up the data (e.g., selecting a column and sorting only that column,
leaving the others behind).
If you need to work with selection of single cells (which you will to
enter a hyperlink the way you want), use a regular worksheet.
