Hyperlinks and Links problem

W

WGD

Recently all e-mail and web addresses are stored in Word 2007 documents as
hyperlinks. (The link can be removed/reset by right-clicking, etc.)

What button did I inadvertantly press to make this happen?

BTW, in what cases are these Hyperlinks used? What is their specific
purpose?

Told by other posters in an XPBasics group that Hyperlinks = Links. Ok.
However, now "seeing" what I maybe miscalled a LINK, ""changed"" to a
HyperLink, ie. {Hyperlink . . . "stuff"}. When right-clicking on this and
making a suitable selection, the ""normal-looking" link comes back.

In one .doc where I inserted a picture, there is now: {EMBED
Word.Picture.8}. Clicking on this opens the picture on/in another page.
Only time the picture is seen is via Print Review.

Sorry for the brain-block ~ what am I doing wrong??

Tks!

Hi Wayne,

It sounds like what you're seeing are the field codes rather than the link field results. Try using Alt+F9 to toggle the Word
display back.
