hyperlinks and macros

I have a powerpoint presentation that has several hyperlinks on the first
slide. each hyperlink goes to another slide within the show. the idea is that
once you see that slide you go back to Slide 1 and click another hyperlink.
Anyone know how I can have the links that have already been seen blacked
out or made inoperable once they have been seen? Can I do this by creating
a macro?

Hi,

Use the Format menu and choose Slide Color Scheme. Click the Custom tab.
You can specify the color to be used for a hyperlink that's been
followed.

Jim's suggestionis probably the best for your situation because you can
set the "followed" color of the hyperlink to be the same as the
background color so it won't be visible. However, it will still work.

There are many things you can do with macros. You might want to look at
examples 7.10 and 7.11 on my web site:

They don't do exactly what you want, but they will give you some other
menu ideas. Click on Examples by Chapter and Chapter 7. I couldn't find
a pre-made example on my site that does exactly what you want, but you
can use the same concept from 7.11 that shows feedback after each section
has been visited to hide the button that leads to that section (or delete
the text if it is just text).

Let me know if you are interested in trying the macros, and I'll try to
give you some more guidance.
