Hyperlinks and return points

I am utilising hyperlinks to take me to other slides within a single
powerpoint presentation. Many slides have multiple sources (i.e. more than
one 'calling' slide). Is there a way I can use hyperlinks to return to the
specific calling slide ?

Thanks in advance.

If it is just the case of returning to the last viewed slide, then you can
use that particular action setting setting the hyperlink to the last viewed
slide.

I'm running Powerpoint 2002 and I do not seem to have that option. I get last
(literally last in set), next, previous, etc etc

Rather than using a "Hyperlink," you want to use the hyperlinks available
in "Action Settings." Create a button (or highlight some text and right
click and choose Action Settings). In the Action Settings Dialogue box,
you should choose Hyperlink. In the drop down menu, you will find all the
same options you saw before plus some new ones, including "Last Slide
Viewed."

By the way, if you are linking to and returning from a place that has
more than one slide, you might need to do that with Custom Shows, but if
it is just one slide, Last Slide Viewed should do the trick.
