Hyperlinks and using the back button to return to previous locatio

I have an extremely long document that I am using Hyperlinks to help the user
navigate within the document. I have already instructed the user to use the
web toolbar to get back to the link they clicked. However, when testing all
of my hyperlinks in the document, the back button will not always take me
back to where I came from? Any suggestions.
Using Office 2003
