Hyperlinks disappear on save/close/open!

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Our son did his school project in Powerpoint. He has 8 or 9 slides and each one has an arrow that links back to a particular slide. He sets it up correctly, everything works perfectly in slide show . . . no problems. (No commas in the titles of the slides.)

If he closes the file and then opens it again, all the hyperlinks are gone. If he goes to the individual slide and selects the tool and the hyperlink, it's blank.

Any thoughts?
