hyperlinks go to my pictures

I just installed Outlook 2003 on Vista. I've installed 2003 on other Vista
machines but don't have this problem, which is: when I click on one of my
hyperlinks in an email or in my contacts (which I imported) instead of going
to the web results in always takes me to "my pictures" folder on my C drive.
Any thoughts on how to avoid this?
Thanks in advance.

Reset your default web browser in Windows.

thanks for the reply...I just tried what you suggested but it still comes up
with a window that says locate linked files and it goes to the "my pictures"
folder.
