Hyperlinks in document do not work

I am tryng to create interactive docs from one location (C drive) and adding hyperlinks to url and files. Everything works fine in the original folders. The problem is when I copy these documents to different locations (network shares), a lot of the hyperlinks get messed up. How do you make the hyperlinks point to absolute locations
