hyperlinks in document

I'm having issues placing hyperlinks in the email newsletter I'm creating. I
create a bookmark at the article title and then create a hyperlink to the
article title in the Table of Contents. However, they do not seem work. Any
suggestions? Here's what I'm doing:

Step 1: Insert Bookmark at each of the 5 different articles with a different
name for each
Step 2: Create a hyperlink at the article title in the TOC using the "place
in document" and then choosing the bookmark with the same title
Step 3: Sending via email

And then the links don't work. Any thoughts?
