hyperlinks in entourage

I write an internal newsletter using Office 2007 on a PC. I embed images and hyperlinks and send as an HTML email from Outlook. Every mac user who receives the newsletter in Entourage gets the formatting all messed up and the hyperlinks are no longer embedded but shown to the side of the word they were embedded into. e.g. click here to visit google would look like here <www.google.com> with the link outside. images that were formatted square to the text get pushed all over the page. I had this problem with Office 2004 for mac but thought it would have resolved in Office 2008.

You might try creating in an HTML editor and use a script to send the
messages.

See these two scripts:

Send Complex HTML with Inline Files 2004

Send Complex HTML

ScriptBuilders: Send Complex HTML X 2.1

Unfortunately it doesn't matter if you use an HTML editor and a script. No
matter what you do, Entourage screws up HTML email. This has been a HUGE
pain point with me. C'mon, it's 2008 and Microsoft can't get HTML email
right??!! It's a blatant attack on the MAC by Microsoft.

And Diane, while your help is very much appreciated, I'll continue to bash
Microsoft here for such blatant stupidity. Worst email editor ever.

You are talking to your peers here. If you want to be heard, send MSFT
feedback. Send feedback to Microsoft.

When working in Office, you can use the ³Send Feedback² option under the
Help menu in all of the Office applications or visit

Thank you for the sermon on html email. There are also still Luddites who
who prefer browsing the web with a links non-graphical browser, and who
still count Asteroids as their favorite game, but the reality is that the
world has moved on. Besides, newly released programs are for early adopters,
not late adopters and Luddites such as yourself.
