hyperlinks in word

Jerry,

May I suggest an alternative? If you create your TOC with
Insert>Index and Tables>Table of Contents, Word will cause
the Web toolbar to open when a user links to a page from
the TOC. The back button on the web toolbar can be used
to go back to the TOC.

You don't get the Web toolbar in Word 2002 for some reason (at least I
don't), but you can add a "Go to TOC" button to any toolbar from Tools |
Customize | All Commands.
