Hyperlinks On Background Pages Not Working??

B

Boydie

I have created some Hyperlinks on my Background Page that I want to be
available on EVERY PAGE IN MY VISIO DOCUMENT

I have set everything up but the Hyperlink only works when the background
page is selected

When I am on the other pages I can see the shape / text that I have set up
with hyperlinks but they do not give the hyperlink symbol when I put my mouse
on them and I am unable to "activate" the hyperlink??

Is there something else I need to do to enable me to use the Background Page
hyperlinks on every page I assign this Background Page to?????

Thanks

But if I want the same hyperlink on every page can I just put it on the
Background Page so that it can be used on every page?? (I have tried and it
doesn't seem to work??)

e.g.

I am creating an document with a "Header" type title page on the Background
Page

I always want the "Header" to have a Hyperlink to the first page of the
document

When I have created the first page I want the Background Page link to be
automatically available on every page that has this Background Page

Is this possible??

unfortunately since hyperlinks are associated with shapes on active pages
attempting to use the shapes on the background page cannot be accessed. Two
possible solutions a.) put the hyperlinks into the shapes on the fore ground
pages where you need them or, write some code that captures mouse clicks
analyze the x/y to call a hyperlink directly from the macro.
