Hyperlinks on CD

I am creating a cd to give to clients containing a number of PDF files. I
have created a MHT file to use as a menu with hyperlinks pointing to the PDF
files. All files are in the same directory; however, I cannot edit the
hyperlinks to open the PDF files.

Is there a relative path I should use to point my links to the files also on
the cd? Obviously, the drive letters for each user's cd drives may vary.

Thanks in advance.

\dir-name\filename.ext is relative to root on current drive

...\dir-name\filename.ext is relative to Parent directory on current drive.

I've tried that, but once I save the MHT file and burn it to the cd, it
points to the file on the C: rather than the file on the cd. Any ideas? I'm
using Word 2003 to create the MHT file.

For example, I entered the address for the hyperlink as \pdf\bylaws.pdf.
Once I save the file, it shows as C:\pdf\bylaws.pdf. The file burned onto
the cd still looks for the file on the C: I want it to look in the root of
whatever drive the cd is in and in the PDF folder on the cd.

Thanks.

Open the mht file with notepad.exe and strip the "file:\\\C:" part off
the location, and save the file, burn that to the CD.

Bob--

Thanks. Actually I realized that I was getting hung up on doing this from
the MHT file. I redid the file as an HTM in Front Page and the relative
address link worked fine.

Thanks for your help.

You're welcome. As long as you can achieve the desired results, the
method is one of preference. Have a good one!
