In a Word 2003 document with Form Fields and Hyperlinks, I am seeing this
behavior:
Case 1: When hovering over a hyperlink a bubble pops up saying to hold down
the 'Cntrl' key and click the link. If the form is not protected the 'I'
cursor turns into a 'hand' cursor when I hold down the Cntrl key, and when I
click I am able to follow the link.
Case 2: However, when the form is protected, hovering over the cursor shows
an 'arrow' cursor which does not change when I press the Cntrl key, and when
I click the link, nothing happens. If I choose View->Toolbars->Forms and
then click the toggle button on the far right (protect/unprotect form) so the
form is not protected, then everything works fine (case 1).
What this means is I cannot have working hyperlinks without unlocking the
form, which is something I definitely do not want to do.
Is there a way to have hyperlinks and locked forms in Word 2003?
