hyperlinks showing as hyperlinks however

Using MS Office 2003 (11.8166.8221) SP3
Recently the server here were upgraded, all files and such were transfer to
the new servers, everything seemed to be fine except for some DB's. we have
a db that has several hyperlinks to files and was working fine before the
move (switch), now when you go to click on the link nothing happens. the
location of the files in the hyperlink were changed to point to the new
location. Any clue as to what the cause could be -- why the hyperlink is not
working?

A couple ideas:

- Assuming that by hyperlink, you mean hyperlink field type: Hyperlinks have
usually-hidden portions. In particular, the dispaly text is a separate
issue from the actual link target. Make sure that you haven't just changed
the display text

- Try making a hyperlink to that same location in some other manner (e.g. a
shortcut) and see if it works. If not, you probalby have an IT problem ather
than an Access problem.
