Hyperlinks to MS Access Database

Anyone ever seen an issue with using a Web link to access
an MS Access 2002 .mde file? With the .mdb file it works
just fine, but opening the .mde actually opens two
identical windows with the my startup form displayed. Any
help would be most appreciated.
