Upgraded from OL2K to OL2K3 and found out that the hyperlinks to the subject of items in public folders no longer work when the / character is has been replaced with %2F.
Notifications to specific items posted in public folders are generated with Exchange 5.5 Scripting that includes a hyperlink to the item like:
outlook://Public&20Folders/All%20Public%20Folders/MyFolder/~mymessagesubject
This works and opens the item if the subject has no special characters, in particular the forward slash. In OL2K replacing / in the subject with %2F in the hyperlink would open the message. In OL2K3 if you replace spaces in the hyperlink with %20 it still works, but replacing the / with its hexadecimal value %2F no longer works.
