Hyperlinks to Web Pages

I have 3 URLs, all made in Word 2000, made in the same way
through the Insert Hyperlink dialogue box. BUT they all
behave differently! The first opens the browser and the URL
as expected; the second opens the browser and a temporary
internet file which it makes on the hard drive (even after
the cache has been cleared), this, of course, does not
display properly; the third gives me the following message,
"Unable to open http://www.oucs.ox.ac.uk/. Cannot open the
specified file."
All 3 URLs if pasted or typed into the location in the
browser, find the web pages.
The URLs are:
http://www.oucs.ox.ac.uk/
http://www.lang.ox.ac.uk/
http://www.ashmol.ox.ac.uk/

Can anyone explain how I can make them all work please???
