Hyperlinks too external urls do not work in Word 2003

Holding down the Ctrl key and clicking on a hyperlink generates the following
application error: "This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in
effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." - This is
my personal laptop and I am the system administrator, but I do not know why
hyperlinks are inactive. I have examined the security settings, IE 6
settings, Word 2003 settings, and extensively browsed the help files without
any success. Anyone k now where to look next?

Hmmm,

Usually see that one more with earlier versions of Office but
see if the information here as far as the registry key applies.
