Hi Erik,
I'm using Access 2000 as the source for my Word mailmerge
document. One of the fields in Access contains a hyperlink
to a website. This hyperlink becomes text in Word.
there's really no reliable way to handle this. Word only
accepts text via its link to a mail merge datasource; but no
graphics, charts, hyperlinks, etc.
The one thing you can TRY (but no guarantees) would be
1. Press Ctrl+F9 to insert a pair of field brackets
2. Type: Hyperlink
3. Insert the merge field that will bring across the text
for the hyperlink
4. IMMEDIATELY execute the mail merge *to a new document*
5. In the merge result document:
- Ctrl+A, F9 to force field updates
- Alt+F9 to hide the field codes
If you're very lucky, the hyperlink fields will hyperlink
correctly to the URL that came across for each record during
the merge, and the display text will be that URL.
