When I click on a hyperlink within an e-mail, it takes anywhere from 2 to 5
minutes for the browser window to open. It also freezes Outlook so that I
can't look at other messages in the meantime. The main Inbox screen goes
blank. I have tried making sure that a browser window was open before
clicking the hyperlink. It doesn't make any difference.
We use Microsoft Exchange for our e-mail. This only happens on my home
computer which is only a few months old. I run Windows XP Professional. The
problem happens when I use IE 7 or Mozilla Firefox 2.0. I switched browsers
to see if it would fix it. It didn't. I have done a full virus scan -
negative. I have emptied my temp files.
This is a recent development, perhaps in the last month. I have not loaded
any new software or hardware in that time.
Any ideas on what I should try to speed this up?
