I am using Visio 2003 and Acrobat 9 Pro (Version 9.2.0).
I was trying to convert a Visio brainstorming chart into a PDF. The chart
contains brainstorming shapes such as "Main Topic" and "Topic". There are
also hyperlinks embedded within the shapes. After conversion to PDF, none of
the links work. I have double checked the settings to make sure that "Add
links to PDF file" settings are all ticked.
I then created a new flowchart with just a process shape, I have also put a
hyperlink within the process and converted the diagram to a PDF. The link
works!
Then I did a further test and added a process shape with an embedded
hyperlink to my brainstorming chart. I then convert it to a PDF. And guess
what???!!! The hyperlinks within brainstorming shapes still DO NOT WORK but
the link within the process shape WORKED.
May I ask whether this can be fixed? Of course, I have not done a test on
every shapes in Visio to see which hyperlinks will not work.
I know there is a workaround to manually add the hyperlink to the PDF
output, but I guess this will be a problem if the diagram is very complicated
and some shapes can't be avoided.
Please advise.
P.S. I have also put this onto Acrobat's forum.
