Hyperlinks won't work after installation of upgrade to Opera brows

I use hyperlinks in Word to access documents on my local drive. After
upgrading to the latest version of Opera browser today my hyperlinks in Word
2003 would not work. Upon clicking on the link I got a Word error message
"This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this
computer. Please contact your systems administrator."

Applying impeccable post hoc ergo propter hoc logic, I am convinced it's the
upgrade that caused this. I certainly did not change any security settings.

Read http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q310049.
Although it concerns links in Outlook and updates to Internet Explorer, I
suspect the cause may be the same -- a damaged or deleted registry key --
and that key isn't specific to either the source or the destination of the
links.

You may have to look through the Opera documentation or ask in another group
to find the equivalent to the instructions given for fixing the problem in
IE.

Thank you very much, Jay. That reference comes awfully close to describing
my problem. I'll try its recommendations and let you know if it works.
