hyperlinks won't work

Hi,

I'm running Microsoft Office X on an Intel Mac (iMac Intel Core Duo)
and am having some problems with hyperlinks in Excel tables. I have a
file with a bunch of hyperlinks to webpages and it worked fine until
yesterday. The only thing I did was update the system to use J2SE 5.0
and then the links no longer worked. I get the message "cannot locate
internet server or proxy server".

I thought it might be a Java problem, so I went to
Applications/Utilities/Java/ and set it to use Java 1.4.2 instead (the
previous version), but the links still won't work even after rebooting
the system. Any suggestions?

Hi there.
It's been a few days since you wrote about this. Were you able to get the
problem straightened out?

I've seen a similar error myself when I've clicked on broken links in a
spreadsheet, but since your links were working the day before, it's probably
not that. Are you able to get to the URLs if you click the same links from
other Office apps like Word or PowerPoint?
