Hyperlinks

We use hyperlinks intensively for linking to files on our
file servers. This works very well except for one machine:

Whenever opening a hyperlink received through an e-mail to
a file on our LAN, it opens internet explorer instead and
returns a dns error. Other office applications are using
hyperlinks in this way without a problem.

Further info:

OS - Win '95
Office 2000 - SR-1
Outlook 2000 - using HTML e-mail format and Word as e-mail
editor
Internet Explorer 5
