I'm working on an intranet where all employees have access
to each individual's files. Within an individual's
directory, there are numerous subfolders associated with
that employee's clients and all materials are saved within
the client's subfolder. I'm trying to develop a method of
hyperlinking documents within the subfolder (or even
further subfolders). Everything works fine if we remain
logged into the intranet; however, when a laptop goes on
the road, the hyperlinks are useless/non-functioning. Is
there a way to shorten the prefix string on the hyperlink
so that the link remains within the parent folder rather
than retracing the entire domain, parent folder,
subfolder, subfolder, etc.?
