My understanding of hyperlink currently is that I can either select a place
on the page I have open to make a hyperlink to or make a link to another page
of my website. Is it possible to create a hyper link from the page I am
working on to a specific place on another page of my website.

Thank you for a taking a look at my question.

Yes. You'd use bookmarks. Go to the place on the other page where you want
the hyperlink to take the visitor to. Highlight a piece of text and choose
Insert, Bookmark. (try not to have spaces in the name of the bookmark).
Save the page. Then go back to the first page. Create a normal hyperlink,
choose the name of the second page and click the Bookmark button. Then pick
the name of the bookmark on that page.
