hyphenated words not splitting

In FP 03, is there such a thing as a "hard hyphen" so that when you type a
hyphenated word like e-mail that you don't want to be split ever at the end
of a line as words wrap around? I know this is possible in Word using
Ctrl-Shift and typing the hyphen.

The hyphen is a hard hyphen (see
http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/struct/text.html#h-9.3.3 ) however Internet
Explorer, Opera and FrontPage are broken and treat it as a soft hyphen.
FireFox and Safari get it right.

You can emulate a hard hyphen using a e-mail, but this will fail in older browsers (IE5.5).

You can make your email address a picture, paste it in line with
text. I have done that. (See bottom of my pages.)

I would not recommend publishing your email address directly as this
will be picked up by scammers.
