hyphenation not avaiable

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Hi
since i use the latest version of word 2008 (12.2.4) in the German Version for Switzerland I can not use anymore the hyphenation.

In my menu "extra" is no topic hyphenation or somewhere else as indicatet in the help-menue.

what can i do now?
