Hyphenation

Is there a feature in Word XP that allows you to turn off
hyphenation for a particular word so that the hyphenated
word is not dangling on the last line.

Hi Mark

I seem to recall adding an 'optional hyphen' (Insert > Symbol special
characters) at the start of a word will prevent hyphenation within it. (Or
maybe that's just in FrameMaker - I don't usually touch hyphenation in Word
<g>.)

Hyphenation is part of the Proofing tools, so if you make a selection (in
this case just the single word) and then use Tools, Language and select No
Proofing.
