Hyphenation

Is there some setting within PowerPoint to turn on automatic hyphenation?
When entering text in a somewhat narrow column, PP always breaks the line at
a full word. I realize I can force hyphenation with a dash and a SHFT-enter,
but it seems like there must be a way to have PP hyphenate using its
dictionary. What am I missing?
