I accidentally deleted all my custom macros. Can I get them back?

I have a lot of custom macros. This morning I "viewed" them, made editing
changes, and when I went back in to check something else I found that all the
macros are gone, wiped out. I assume it's because I went in to "view" instead
of "edit". Does anyone know of a way to restore the macros? I'm desperate.
It's a lot of work and I'm bone tired.

There is no "View" facility for macros. Exactly what did you do? Where did
you have the macros?

What version of Word are you using? And where are/were the macros (Normal,
or somewhere else)?
