I am having the same problem

I have downloaded all updates and have been to the site mentioned in the
previous message and done everything at the site, but alas to no avail. What
else could be the problem? Everything was working fine then Word just stopped
responding

There are over 1000 previous messages. Sorry but I don't have a clue what
you are talking about.

Sorry...I meant to attach this to previous questions about Word 2000
Sr1...new at using this. When I open Word i get a response that Word will
shut down because it has encountered problems. As I stated previously I have
downloaded all appropriate updates and have even gone to

and nothing has worked. I really need to be using this program now and help
would be most appreciated. Thank you and sorry about the initial screw up.

Well it is usually the printer driver or a corrupt normal.dot: but both are
covered in the FAQ.

Thank you for your help. I found the normal.dot file. It was in a different
location than specified in the FAQ, thats why I was having trouble. I found
in the Application Date folder. All is well now.

That's Application Data, which should be the path given at Tools | Options |
File Locations.
