An error message appeared when I tried to back up my database. Error 3799.
A colume that does not exist is being referenced labeled " Description". I
need to know how to correct this problem so I can back up my database. Thank
you.

How are you backing up the database? What are you doing when this error
occurs? More details, please.

Thank you for responding.
I would use the "back up database" option in the file tab. Then I would
continue to save the database in my floppy disc drive. That is when the
error message would pop up. THen I tried to back up my database using the
database utilities option under tools then choosing the compact and repair
option. The same message would pop up again while trying to save the back up.

Thank you for your help in this, Ken. I really appreciate it.

Which version of ACCESS are you using? I don't see any such "backup
database" options in my ACCESS 2002?

Ahhh... I have not installed A2003 on my PC, and thus am unaware of this
feature.

May I suggest that you start a new thread with this subject line:

"Access 2003 Backup Process Is Failing With Error 3799"

That way, we can see if someone with some direct knowledge of A2003 can
assist. I apologize that I don't know about this feature.
