I am having trouble in inserting an embedded object .msg in word 2

I am having trouble in inserting / opening an embedded object .msg in word
2007. It used to work without problem earlier and it works fine with other
profiles. word hangs up while opening or inserting an object for long time
and the only thing can be done is to kill the appln and start again.
any ideas? pls help.

Possibly an AV problem, but if it works in other profiles, it suggests that
your profile is corrupt.

yes, if i rename my old profile and create a new one it works fine. but i
wanted a solution without changing the profile as lot of settings will be
lost and has to be transferred. embedded objects usually .wmv or any other
video files inserted in word just hangs up the word while opening the object.

Corrupt profiles can be a nightmare to solve and I never waste time trying
these days. The only possible solution may be to delete the Word Data key
(which is automatically recreated when you start Word again).

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\DATA
