I am currently struggling with getting a field that contains user information
of the format domain\firstname.lastname to determine the users role. Somehow
the form always opens in default. What is the correct format?

On a more holistic note. I see all the wonderful standrdized fields in form
templates that contain user and manager information. I almost guess that this
can be very easily connected to some sort of user data base. If so, how do
you do that, what data connection to use, and how is the data maintained? Is
this sharepoint or AD?
