I have downloaded beautyfull new office desktop icons from the internet and i
am trying to change these in my office 2003 program but it won't let me do it.
Has any one out there done this before and succeded in changing the icons?
Since people are designing it must be possible!
If anyone out there knows please let know how to go about it.
Thanks.

Hi Harold,

The shortcuts that MS Office creates as part of its installation are actually from items in the registry and the icon in those
shortcuts can't be changed from the icon properties page. You can create a new 'traditional' shortcut of your own from the .exe
files, such as from Winword.exe, and change the icons in that new shortcut.
